The Interception
(Official Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Composed for the short film by the same name, The Interception builds on themes of desperate indecisiveness when a harrowing choice must be made. See if you can make out the Morse code.

Eisegesis

Tocatta for Strings takes the classic Dies Irae theme and has some fun with it.

The Ocean Suite was an experiment with sampling piano into a soundscape. Best enjoyed with headphones and closed eyes.

Eisegesis is a 5 movement work for organ and trumpet. Because organ is awesome.

Claim the Stars

Inspired by Brandon Sanderson’s YA sci-fi novel “Skyward”, this album answers the question everyone was asking: If this book were a movie, what would the music sound like?

About the Composer

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Alex Watson has spent his life learning the craft of music. Blending modern techniques of music production with classical techniques of orchestration and counterpoint, he looks both forward and to the past, and finds the world is made of stories. Finding himself unable to escape this influence, he has embraced narrative themes in his music as he composes not only pseudo-absolute music but music for film and literature as well.
